Nestled amid the debris were three tiny puppies, shaking from the cold. With no shelter or food in sight, they clung to one another for warmth. Moved by the discovery, the passerby quickly took a photo and reached out to Stray Rescue of St. Louis through social media.

“These little 4-5 month old pups have been living here. Outside, no shelter from the elements, among a pile of garbage. They are dirty, hungry, tired, and scared. But not for long,” posted the Missouri rescue on Facebook.

Once at the rescue facility, the puppies underwent medical checks and were provided with warm meals and tender care. The transformation was immediate. Craving human attention and kindness, they quickly adapted to their newfound safety.

“She’s a 4 month old baby girl who loves to play with other dogs. If you have a happy, social pup who would like a playmate, then this would be ideal for you! She likes to cuddle too, and is just so happy and grateful to finally be getting this chance,” shared Stray Rescue of St. Louis (SRSL).

Banjo, with his charming personality, is equally delightful. This friendly, food-loving pup gets along well with both people and other animals, even cats. Already crate-trained, he’s adapting well to indoor life, enjoying cozy snuggles at home as well as outdoor adventures.
