A heartwarming moment unfolded in Kruger National Park, South Africa when a group of young elephants playfully pretended to charge at a safari vehicle after spotting it nearby.
The amusing encounter was captured on video by tourist Paul Charnley, who was visiting the park with his family on March 31.

The footage shows a small herd of elephants crossing the road ahead of the safari car, with two young elephants engaging in a playful tussle.
Once the calves noticed the group of onlookers, they put on an entertaining display, mock charging towards the vehicle.

The juvenile elephants stumbled clumsily over their feet as they ran but stopped several meters short of the car, much to the delight of the passengers.
Laughter from the safari-goers can be heard as one of the young elephants swung its trunk towards the vehicle, trumpeting loudly. Despite their size, these playful youngsters appeared harmless, enjoying their antics.
African elephants are the largest land animals, reaching heights of up to 13 feet at the shoulder and weighing as much as 12,000 pounds.

While adult elephants can be dangerous when charging, the young calves in this encounter were clearly more interested in playing than posing any real threat.
