A heartwarming moment was captured when a lost elephant calf joyfully roared upon being reunited with its family following a rescue operation.
The young elephant had wandered away from its herd in Mudumalai National Park in Tamil Nadu, southern India.

Forest department rescuers guided the calf to its family along a lush, green trail.
Video footage shows four park rangers leading the calf, believed to be just a few months old, through the park.

The calf closely follows one of the rangers, dressed in khaki camouflage, while another team member supports it from behind.
In a second video, the calf is seen descending a narrow earth path, eventually emerging onto a broader trail.
As it approaches its family, the calf stops, looks up, and lets out a joyous roar. The moment captures the calf’s excitement as it trots towards its mother, who is waiting just out of view.
