In his newfound environment, he encountered a tiny friend who had recently escaped a challenging situation like him.
This newfound friend was Chompers, a kitten discovered abandoned under a porch when just two days old. Their initial meeting was captured in a heartwarming video, symbolizing the start of a special bond.
Ruggles and Chompers had rough starts in life, but their paths took a turn for the better when caring individuals adopted them.
Ruggles, in particular, gained recognition as the ambassador for the Cherokee County Animal Shelter, where he now visits classrooms to educate children about shelter animals and the perils of puppy mills.
Despite their troubled pasts, Ruggles and Chompers now thrive in loving environments. While some may question why they weren’t adopted together, it’s revealed that Chompers, true to her name, displayed aggressive behavior towards young Ruggles.
Due to Ruggles’ health challenges, it was decided that separate adoptions would be best for both animals. Nonetheless, they both bask in their new homes’ warmth of love and happiness.
