Duncan, a Boxer dog born with only two functioning front legs, was found wandering the streets. His back legs were fused together due to a birth defect, which likely led to his abandonment.
Despite his challenges, Duncan has shown extraordinary strength and adaptability, managing to move efficiently on just his front legs.
Initially rescued by a family, fate soon took a different turn. Gary and Amanda, who manage a rescue organization, developed a strong bond with Duncan.

Admiring how happy Duncan was with Gary and Amanda, the initial adoptive family decided to entrust his care to them.
In his new home, Duncan thrived. With a spacious house and garden to explore, he was full of life. However, Gary and Amanda soon discovered another issue.
The condition of Duncan’s fused hind legs was affecting his spine, causing him significant pain, so amputation was necessary. Yet, this did not dampen Duncan’s joyful spirit.

Duncan is an extraordinary dog; despite his disability, he loves to run and jump like any other dog and even refuses to rely on a wheelchair. He can climb stairs independently and adores peanut butter as a treat.
Duncan’s inspiring story attracted attention online, with a video of him going viral and amassing over 7 million views, celebrated for his unyielding spirit.
Tragedy almost struck when Gary and Amanda were involved in a car crash as they swerved to avoid an animal. Fortunately, they and two other puppies only sustained minor injuries, but Duncan was missing. Gary feared he wouldn’t be found.

Photos of Duncan spread across the community, and thanks to this effort, he was eventually found nearby. Amanda shared that Duncan has escaped death multiple times, referencing two heart arrests where Gary had to perform CPR to revive him.
Duncan’s journey is a remarkable testament to resilience. More than just a dog with physical challenges, he has become a symbol of heroism.
His story highlights the powerful bond between humans and animals and showcases the steadfast spirit of a dog who refuses to let his physical limitations define him.
