A little kitten with a unique voice is on a quest to find her forever home.
Discovered on the streets of South Los Angeles, a tiny black and white kitten was brought to a local animal shelter. At around five weeks old, she was skinny and had large ears and whiskers, showing she had a lot of growing to do.

The kitten’s luck turned around when Stray Cat Alliance stepped in to rescue her, placing her with a foster family. Alyssa W., a volunteer with the rescue organization, welcomed the young feline into her home.
“When she first arrived, she was so small, a bit shy, and even gave a few hisses. But after settling into a cozy space filled with toys, a litter box, and delicious food, she slowly began to relax and show her true self,” Alyssa shared with Cat Lovers.
Once named Betty Boop, the little kitten started to bond with her foster mom as she realized she was in a safe place. With plenty of food and comfort, her personality began to blossom.

Alyssa was delighted to hear the sweet sounds coming from Betty, especially when she played or chased her favorite toys. Betty would happily chirp while attempting to catch moving strings, sometimes standing on her tiptoes in eager pursuit.
“She gets so excited to play, and those chirps are just one of the things that make her so special,” Alyssa noted.

The curious kitten would fixate on her toys with intense focus before letting out her signature chirps in true Betty style.
“Now, she immediately starts purring when she’s petted and loves being around people. She’s become so much friendlier and less timid. I’m really proud of her bravery,” Alyssa added.

Betty’s bright eyes and charming demeanor only add to her overall appeal.
In addition to attention from humans, Betty has learned a lot from Mickey, the resident cat who has befriended her.

“Mickey always welcomes our fosters, so naturally, he and Betty became friends instantly,” Alyssa explained to Cat Lovers.
“It didn’t take long for Betty to realize Mickey would be a good companion. She followed him around, played with him, and even snuggled next to him on the bed,” she continued.

Mickey has been a mentor to Betty, teaching her important social skills and helping her adapt to living harmoniously with others.
“She’s like the pesky little sister who learns from her big, loving brother. She always wants to be wherever Mickey is, and I think he enjoys her company,” Alyssa said.

Now a bundle of energy, Betty is always ready for fun during her waking hours. Her captivating chatter draws everyone’s attention as she plays, living by the credo “play hard, sleep harder.”
After two months in foster care, Betty is eagerly awaiting her permanent home. Her cheerful sounds and zest for life signal that she is ready to join a family who will love her as much as she loves to play and chirp.

Having transitioned from a street kitten to a happy indoor cat, Betty looks forward to spreading her joy and charming chirps in a loving forever home.
“She’s going to make someone very happy one day. I hope she finds her forever home soon,” said Alyssa.

Feel free to share Betty’s story with those you know.
