Officials used a digger to nudge the elephant upright to assist the distressed animal gently. The driver carefully maneuvered the machine to push the calf from its lying position, helping it regain its footing.

Once the elephant was stable, the digger backed away, allowing the young animal to stand independently and escape the muddy trap.
