Every dog deserves a life filled with love and care, free from any harm or neglect. Unfortunately, Izzy, a pregnant dog, faced a heartbreaking situation when her owner abandoned her on the streets.
Izzy found refuge on private property, where she gave birth to six puppies. Instead of receiving compassion and assistance, she and her newborns encountered abuse. One of her puppies, Cody, suffered a particularly severe head injury.

Feeling scared and powerless, Izzy could only hope that someone kind would come along to help save Cody.
Thankfully, compassionate individuals discovered the struggling dog family and contacted Rescue Row, a Texas-based non-profit organization dedicated to animal welfare. The rescue team responded swiftly, arriving to find Izzy and her puppies in a dismal state.
Rescue Row shared their experience on Facebook, stating, “Izzy is completely emaciated. She is rightfully afraid of people and falls to her back as soon as she is approached. She is broken and mentally drained but still sweet as ever.”
The rescuers took Izzy and her puppies into foster care, where they finally experienced love and care. Meanwhile, Cody, in a critical state, was rushed to Panther Creek Animal Hospital in Little Elm, Texas.

At just four weeks old, Cody was so weak that he couldn’t even lift his head and weighed only a pound. Dr. Kim and the hospital team provided him urgently needed medical care.
Once stabilized, Cody joined his foster family, where he continued to receive dedicated attention, including regular fluid intake from his foster mom.
However, Cody’s health took a downturn a few days later, leaving him barely able to breathe. The distraught rescuers brought him back to Dr. Kim, who, along with her team, fought tirelessly to save him. Severely dehydrated, Cody was given an IV drip, which thankfully led to an improvement in his condition.
Cody remained under hospital care for five days, during which Dr. Kim took him home at night to closely monitor his progress. His devoted foster family visited daily, heartened by his slow but steady recovery.

As Cody’s strength returned, he began to attempt walking, though it was a challenging process. Each small step forward was met with encouragement and excitement from those who cared for him.
After ten days, Cody returned to his foster home, greeted with warmth and affection. His foster siblings provided support, and Cody thrived in their nurturing environment.
Despite the trauma, which left him blind in his right eye, Cody underwent successful surgery to remove the damaged eye and made a full recovery.

The brave pup won the hearts of Dr. Kim and her family, who decided to give him a forever home. Cody thrived in their loving care, showered with the endless affection he so richly deserved.
All of Izzy’s puppies, along with Izzy herself, found loving families who committed to cherishing them always. Thanks to the tireless efforts of their rescuers, the entire dog family now enjoys a life full of happiness and security.
