By the time she reached us, the pitiful state of her body—covered in red ants—was a painful testament to her ordeal.
Shirin’s condition was dire. Her body was almost devoid of red blood cells, necessitating an urgent transfusion at the veterinary clinic. Additionally, she had a fractured pelvis, though the doctors assured us it was a minor injury that time would heal.
The look in Shirin’s eyes was heart-wrenching; this faithful dog surely deserved better than her harsh experiences. Despite her frailty, we were hopeful.
At least now, she didn’t have to endure her hardships alone. Shirin fought to keep moving, drinking, and eating, her resilience both heartwarming and sorrowful.
The possibility of Shirin’s body regenerating red blood cells remained uncertain, leaving us with only hope and patience. Yet, her gradual progress brought us relief.
Slowly, she began to show signs of joy, as if her long years of patience and pain were starting to fade.
